CarCare ("the App") is a vehicle maintenance tracker that runs on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, syncs your data across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. Your privacy is important to us, and the App is built with a privacy-first approach.
CarCare does not collect, transmit to our servers, or share any personal data — we operate no servers and have no access to your information. All information you enter — including vehicle details, maintenance records, fuel logs, odometer readings, and any documents or photos you attach — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and, when iCloud is enabled, synced privately to your other devices through Apple CloudKit.
The App's only network use is syncing your own data through your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). It has no developer-operated servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. If you are signed out of iCloud, the App continues to work fully using on-device storage.
CarCare does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.
Your data is stored on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, synced across your devices using Apple CloudKit's private database. This data resides in your personal iCloud account, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is not accessible to us. If you also use Apple's iCloud backup or iTunes/Finder backup, your app data may be included in those backups according to Apple's policies.
The App requests access to your device's location only when you explicitly tap the "Use My Location" button in the service facility picker. Your location is used solely to centre the map and help you find nearby facilities. It is never stored persistently, never sent to any server, and never shared with any third party. If you deny location permission, the map opens at a default position and all other features remain fully functional.
You can delete any or all of your data at any time within the App; deleting data in the App also removes it from your synced iCloud data. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on that device. You can manage or remove iCloud-stored app data through your device's iCloud settings.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since no data is collected from any user, this policy applies equally to all ages.
If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
